I'm going to mail the card to him and my soon-to-be sister-in-law for letting me stay at their house while I was visiting my family last month. This image is what summer is all about for me and thats why I used it for this "summer" challenge.

Scrapbook/Stamp Area

Well, I moved down here 4 years ago and just these last few weeks have had the time and gumption to unpack my scrapbooking and stamping stuff. I had 4 boxes that were still taped up and 2 that were opened and rummaged through. So, for the past 2 weeks, I have been unpacking and organizing all of my things. When I lived in Michigan, I had a large spare bedroom in which I had one twin size bed and the rest was devoted to scrapbooking and stamping. However, here I have a small room that has one set of bunk beds and one twin size bed in it, and that is the room I had to "create" my scrappin area. It was hard, but I have used most of the closet and also built a cabinet/bookshelf that I have jammed all of my stuff on. I hope to one day get rid of one of the beds and purchase more storage units for my scrapbooking/stamping things, but for now, this will have to do.

Made a random card...

After another day of working on getting my scrapbook/stamping room (aka: guest bedroom) organized, I decided I would take a moment and actually work on a card!

This is what I came up with:

Stamp: Loads of Love from Stampin Up

Techniques: I used liquid glass from CTMH to make the window of the truck look glossy, water colored pencils to color the truck, foam dots to "pop-up" the truck, and finally some brads as the hubcaps of the tires.

Twinkling H20 Cards

I went to my first card workshop at a scrapbooking/stamping store in Columbia called Scrappin' Creations. I made three cards using Twinkling H20 paints. I love them- I have had them for many, many, many years but just like many other things, I had forgotten about them. This class has "lit my fire" for using these awesome little paints again.
